I'm currently slogging through Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin. It's an enjoyable read, and definitely one that I'm interested in, however at the moment there are so many other books I want to read that I'm kind of losing interest in it.

Here are some of the other books I've loaded on my Kindle to read and finish.

Managing Humans by Michael Lopp - I manage a bunch of Gen Z'ers, in a Silicon Valley-esque startup. This has been an invaluable book so far, and I'm only about 20% of the way through. I read it mostly at work because that's where my brain is at at the time, so it's easier to process and implement the ideas directly, on the spot.

The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick - I watched the Amazon show during COVID and fell in love with it. Always wanted to read the book that inspired it, and it's Philip K. Dick, so...

Atomic Habits by James Clear - Meh. It's been hard for me to start and continue. I'm going to try and finish it, but I can't promise anything. I haven't really read enough of it to give any opinions about the advice contained within.

Fifth Sun by Camilla Townsend - I am SUPER excited for this book. I have a huge passion for Mesoamerican history, so this unique perspective she has developed is something I'm craving to read, and is probably the main reason I'm getting so disinterested in Fire and Blood.

House of Rain by Craig Childs - Another book I'm excited to read. The Anasazi have been marked onto my brain ever since my first Tony Hillerman novel. This book is of course non-fiction, but anything Mesoamerican or Pre-Columbian, I'm in.

No More Mr. Nice Guy by Dr. Robert Glover - I have a real problem with letting people walk all over me. That's been less of an issue in the last few years, but still something I can learn from. This book has been recommended to me.

Backstory by David Mitchell - One of my favorite comedians, I'm excited to read about his "backstory." Another book I'm probably a little too excited to read.

I don't know how long it'll take me to read all of this, I'm not a particularly speedy reader. But I'm stoked to put this Kindle to heavy use.
