about me /
Hey, I'm Josh. I'm a designer and amateur developer. I work at an ISP by day and tinker with code, side projects, and weird ideas by night. I'm also wrapping up my last semester of undergrad as a returning adult student, which has been... a journey.
I built this site by hand as a personal playground. No frameworks, no build tools. Just PHP, some markdown, and vibes. It's small on purpose. The whole thing clocks in at about 2kb.
things I'm into
I play a lot of survival and simulator games (Project Zomboid, Minecraft, American Truck Simulator). I have a deep and abiding love for British comedy. I'm fascinated by Mesoamerican history and pre-Columbian cultures. I read a lot of nonfiction. I like weather a probably unhealthy amount.
things I make
I draw a weekly webcomic called Hobart, Ohio about a strange little town on the Ohio River. I built a random Frasier quote generator because the world needed one. I made an idle game called Mayo Tycoon because... well, I don't have a good reason for that one. There's more on the projects page.
this site
j0sh.dev is where I write about whatever's on my mind, keep track of what I use, and generally just have a corner of the internet that's mine. If you're into the indie web, personal sites, or just miss the old internet, we'd probably get along.
